Hello lovely!
This month, as the Christmas season is certainly fast approaching, let’s take a quiet moment together. Here’s a small pause to notice the little things that bring calm, creativity, or that Christmas magic into your day.
Sit in your little nook, with a mint hot chocolate options/glaxy, topped with marchmalllows, whipped cream finished with a candy cane. Some roasted salted chestnuts in a Christmas bowl, a festive book, or a soft project. Consider:
- One thing that brought out that magical Christmas spirit.
- A small gift you bought for your home to add the festive cheer.
- Something you’d like to carry forward into the rest of this years Christmas holiday.
Mindful Activity / Ritual:
• Offer warmth without expectation, a simple "thinking of you" message, can make anyone smile or a warm drink can show someone a little light in someone's darkness.
• Give people room to feel how they feel, not everyone can stretch into that joy on command, and that's okay. Let them be honest, let them be quiet and let them breathe
• Be mindful of pressure, because those invitations, plans and festive talk can feel heavy. A gentle, reassurance of "No pressure at all" can make a world of difference.
• The unseen battles of grief, loneliness or exhaustion can weigh anyone down. Compassion costs £0.00, but it can soften an entire day.
• Share what you can even if it's just being there, you don't have to fix anything, you don't need to get them to snap out of it. Sometimes the most healing thing is just simply being there.
These small rituals can help anchor anothers mind and body in the present.
A warm reflection:
December is easier for some than others. So let’s move through it with open hearts, and a kindness that reaches beyond our own doorstep. Because even the smallest kindness can feel like a little light, the kind that helps someone make it through the longest night of the year.
